Joe Rogan kom med en uttalelse om intervjuene med to av verdens fremste covid-eksperter, Robert Malone og Peter McCullough. Han roste dem og påpekte at opinionen flytter seg med syvmilssteg. Det som for bare noen få uker siden ble bannlyst, er i dag akseptert, og han nevnte spesielt munnbind og vaksinerte som blir smittet og smitter videre.

Men Rogan gikk så tilbake på det han nettopp hadde sagt og omtalte de to forskerne som «kontroversielle», som krever korreksjon fra representanter for det gjeldende narrativ. Dermed rev han bena under seg selv og skuffet mange.

Tilbaketoget har gitt flere artister blod på tann, og de sier at også de vil boikotte Spotify. Men det er gamlinger.

Først rosen til McCullough og Malone:

Dr. Peter McCullough is a cardiologist, and he is the most published physician in his field in history. Dr. Robert Malone owns nine patents on the creation of mRNA vaccine technology, and is at least partially responsible for the creation of the technology that led to mRNA vaccines.

Both these people are very highly credentialed, very intelligent, very accomplished people, and they have an opinion that is different from the mainstream narrative. I wanted to hear what their opinion is. I had them on, and because of that — those episodes in particular — those episodes were labeled as being ‘dangerous,’ they had “dangerous misinformation” in them.

Så peker Rogan på noe som norske medier unnlater å erkjenne: at det som var desinformation i går, gjelder for opplest og vedtatt i dag.

The problem I have with the term ‘misinformation,’ especially today, is that many of the things that we thought of as ‘misinformation’ just a short while ago are now accepted as fact. Like, for instance, eight months ago, if you said, ‘If you get vaccinated, you can still catch COVID and you could still spread COVID,’ you’d be removed from social media. They would ban you from certain platforms. Now, that’s accepted as fact.

If you said, ‘I don’t think cloth masks work,’ you would be banned from social media. Now, that’s openly and repeatedly stated on CNN. If you said, ‘I think it’s possible that COVID-19 came from a lab,’ you’d be banned from many social media platforms. Now, that’s on the cover of Newsweek.

All of those theories that at one point in time were banned, were openly discussed by those two men that I had on my podcast, that have been accused of [spreading] ‘dangerous misinformation.’

Norske myndigheter og mediene har ikke villet registrere at CDC kom til at munnbind ikke virker. Er det fordi det ville tære på autoriteten? I butikkene går betjeningen fortsatt med munnbind. Hva om de fikk høre at det var bare tull og at myndighetene har visst det uten å si noe?

Rogan tror han kan forsone løgn og sannhet. Han vil la løgnen få komme til orde og korrigere sannheten. Dermed drar han seg selv ned. Det narrativet han snakker om, handler om makt, ikke om sannhet. Folk blir provosert når han kaller Malone og McCullough for «kontroversielle». Det er ikke de som er kontroversielle, det er narrativet som krever underdanighet.

My pledge to you is that I will do my best to try to balance out these more controversial viewpoints with other people’s perspectives so we can maybe find a better point of view.

Rogan viser at han er konfliktsky. Spotify vet heller ikke hvilket ben de skal stå på.

I don’t want to just show the the contrary opinion to what the narrative is. I want to show all kinds of opinions so that we can all figure out what’s going on, and not just about COVID,  about everything, about health, about fitness, wellness, the state of the world itself.

It’s a strange responsibility to have this many viewers and listeners. It’s very strange, and it’s nothing that I prepared for, and it’s nothing that I ever anticipated. I am going to do my best in the future to balance things out. I’m going to do my best, but my point of doing this is always just to create interesting conversations and ones that I hope people enjoy.

Nei, det er nok ikke noe som Rogan var forberedt på, men det er noe som heter å vokse med oppgaven. Han gjorde en fantastisk innsats i det tre timer lange intervjuet med Malone. Derfor er dette tilbaketoget ekstra skuffende.

Svakhet utløser angrep:

Musicians Graham Nash, Nils Lofgren, and India Arie are the latest stars to boycott Spotify, following in the path of Neil Young who last week demanded his songs be pulled from the streaming service in what has become a media-fueled effort to censor and deplatform Rogan.

Dette er 68’ernes dødsrallilng. De har blitt rike og late og er det man kaller opiniated: De tror de vet noe om ting som de overhodet ikke kan, selv opp mot forskere i verdensklasse.

Det er på en måte slutten på narsisisstene. Det handler alltid om dem selv.
