En attraksjon
Bosnia-Hercegovina kan absolutt trenge en turistattraksjon eller fem for å styrke sin begredelige økonomi, men det spørs om dette er måten å gjøre det på. Men først og fremst en ironi over NATOs tafatthet.
«One of the world’s most wanted men, Radovan Karadzic, has become a tourist attraction. Independent tourist agent Zijad Jusufovic is charging £225 pounds for his ‘Karadzic Tour’. The sightseeing tour takes in the former residences of the ex-Bosnian-Serb leader.
International peace keeping forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina have offered a £2.5 million reward for information that would help find Karadzic. He was indicted by the United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague for genocide during the 1992-95 Bosnian war. Karadzic has been on the run for years, and is believed to be hiding somewhere in eastern Bosnia.»
