Sunday Telegraph har en god oppsummering av den første uken av den rettslige høringen etter våpeneksperten David Kellys selvmord. «The devil may be in the detail, but the truth usually resides in the big picture.» Både regjeringen og BBC er påført stygge riper i lakken.

«The sad case of one man’s apparent self-destruction has, inadvertently, lifted the arras on the innermost workings of Government and the panic in the highest echelons of the BBC. Most of what has been disclosed thus far has been incompetent rather than sinister: cock-up rather than conspiracy. But fecklessness and cowardly self-preservation are serious misdemeanours in public life – politics and public service broadcasting – even when they do not stray into outright malice. Nothing that has been said, or will be said, in the High Court will undermine the case for war by a jot; but it may destroy more than one glittering career.»
