The day dawned cloudy and windy, with forecasts of rain, the first in 6 weeks here. I drove the back gravel roads of Saguaro National Park looking for wildlife and scenic shots. I then went back to the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum, hoping to get more good pictures, and I believe I succeeded. They have a raptor center, and while it was too windy to fly them today, they did allow some good photo ops, within a few feet of these magnificent birds of prey, including a Kestrel, Harris Hawk, and a Ferruginous hawk, the largest, and fastest of the American hawks. It is endangered in many of the western states it calls home.
