November 3…

I departed early, heading east through Alabam, then Old Alabam, and I couldnʼt say one was older than the other. I headed down along Hwy 21 where I saw some more very pretty autumn scenes. At Boxley I turned east on Hwy 74 through the Buffalo National River area, which was darned spectacular. This is an area where you would definitely not want a big RV. Lots of tight turns, steep hills, and valleys. I joined Arkansas Scenic Byway 7 at Jasper where I headed south along the scenic two-lane highway through Ozark National Forest. At a rest stop I found a couple 1957 Chevrolets and a 1955 Chevrolet parked enjoying the scenery. The red ʼ57 Chevrolet was one of the prettiest I have seen. I pulled into Russellville, Ark a little after noon. It is a thriving little city of about 23,000.
