I parlamentet onsdag formiddag sa selv David Cameron at Corbyn måtte ta hintet. Det er på tide å gå. David Cameron kunne ikke sagt det klarere:
‘We all have to reflect on our role in the referendum campaign. I know you said you put his back into it, all I can say is I’d hate to see it when you’re not trying.’
‘If you’re looking for excuses… you should look somewhere else.
‘It might be in my party’s interests for you to sit there but it’s not in the national interest and I would say, for heaven’s sake man, go.’
‘I was democratically elected leader of our party for a new kind of politics by 60 per cent of Labour members and supporters, and I will not betray them by resigning. Today’s vote by MPs has no constitutional legitimacy.
‘We are a democratic party, with a clear constitution. Our people need Labour party members, trade unionists and MPs to unite behind my leadership at a critical time for our country.’
