Det er funnet gassfelt utenfor Haifa som er store nok til å dekke Israels forbruk i 50 til 70 år.

A consortium led by billionaire Yitzhak Tshuva reported on Thursday that the size of a gas field they have found offshore near Haifa contained more gas then previously thought.

The Minister of National Infrastructure, Uzi Landau told Channel 2 news that the field contains «enough gas to supply Israel’s gas requirements for the next 50 to 70 years.»
