Forfatteren J.D Vance, som stiller til Senats-valget neste år, sier Google ikke lenger føler noen takknemlighet til landet som gjorde det stort. Google samarbeider med Kina, mens deres ansatte lager opprop mot kontrakter med Pentagon.

Den som verdsetter frihet må ta opp kampen mot en gigant som Google, sier Vance, mannen bak suksessen Hillbilly elegy.

«Google, right now, is actively conspiring with and working with the Chinese government,» said Vance. «They’ve actually been very open about this. At the same time, the 29-year-old woke idiots who work at Google refuse to allow Google to enter into contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense – this company is not a national company anymore.»

Studiovert Mark Steyn kommenterte at techgigantene er større økonomisk enn mange stater. Den eneste stormakten de søker seg inn under er Kina, som har ambisjoner om å erstatte USA som supermakt. Google er i realiteten antiamerikansk.

«[Big tech companies] are already bigger than most nations on Earth,» host Mark Steyn noted. «And the few nations they are not bigger than, such as China, they are entering into a malign alliance with — yet the Right spends its time sort of having college-dorm-room abstract discussions about the issue.»

Vance hadde bare forakt til overs for Republikaner-establishment som ikke tør utfordre Demokratenes radikale agenda, men dilter etter. Demokratene elsker makt, men Republikanerne er redde. Det ligger an til et maktskifte i partiet neste år. Republikanerne vil i enda høyere grad bli Trumps parti.

Vance var skeptisk til Trump i 2016, men har endret mening.

«I obviously didn’t fully appreciate [Trump’s] appeal in 2016, but I find it hilarious that people are surprised given the way I do, given I have been going on Tucker Carlson’s show for three years talking about these themes. I clearly believe and care about this stuff and have for a long time,» he said in response.

Vance kommer fra en fattig arbeiderklassebakgrunn, men klarte ved hardt arbeid å komme seg inn på et av prestisjeuniversitetene. Han har ikke glemt hvor han kommer fra. Nå vil han bli senator fra Ohio.
