Washington Post har ombestemt seg og vil ikke lenger støtte en marsj den 11. september, som både er til minne om ofrene for 911 og en støtte til soldatene i Irak.

The US capital’s largest newspaper said it had backed out of an agreement to co-sponsor the Pentagon-organized «Freedom Walk» event scheduled for September 11 to both commemorate the victims of the attacks of 2001 and show support for US forces currently in Iraq.
«It is the Post’s practice to avoid activities that might lead readers to question the objectivity of the Post’s news coverage,» said spokesman Eric Grant.
«As it appears that this even could become politicized, the Post has decided to honor the victims of 9/11 by making a contribution directly to the Pentagon Memorial Fund,» he said, according to the report.(afp)
