Den israelske ambassaden i Danmark sier de arabiske ungdommene i Odense først sjekket at det var israelere før de skjøt.

Ministry Spokesman Yossi Levy, said the assailants identified the salespeople as Israeli before opening fire at the stand, in the city of Odenza, west of the capital, Copenhagen. He said that according to reports received by the ministry the two Israelis did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

Foreign Ministry officials continue to monitor events as local police are looking into the attack. At this time, it is unclear how many attackers took part in the assault and whether they were arrested.

«Two Israelis working a Dead Sea Products stand in a mall were fired upon,» Dan Oryan of the Israeli Embassy in Copenhagen told Ynet. «We don’t know how many people were involved in the shooting, but several individuals were seen fleeing the scene.

«This is a new mall and they probably have security cameras,» he added. The Israelis were rushed to a local hospital for treatment and embassy officials are making their way to Odenza to assist them.
