Øverstkommanderende for IASF, Stanley McChrystal, i hovedkvarteret i Kabul søndag 7. februar, i anledning utnevnelsen av Mark Sedwill til NATOs høyeste sivile representant.

McChrystal er asketiker, spiser en gang om dagen og minner om David Petraeus med sin jernvilje. Han er mannen bak den nye counterinsurgency-strategien. Han provoserte Obama med å gå ut med planen og ønsket om 40.000 flere soldater før Obama hadde fått bestemt seg. Da det kom til stykket sa Obama ja, og det gir McChrystal tyngde.

    Utviklingen i USA. Man kan lure på om Obamaadministrasjonen er “håp” hovedsaklig for islamister, når man leser om hva slags grenseløst inkompetente eller uærlige folk den inneholder. Man har konsekvent nektet å omtale fienden som “islamister” eller “radikal islam” og istedenfor brukt eufemismer som “ekstremister”.
