Palestinerne trues av borgerkrig

Politi stor­met inn i den pale­stinske nasjo­nal­for­sam­lin­gen man­dag og for­langte at myn­dig­he­tene set­ter Hamas på plass. En politi­of­fi­ser ble skutt av Hamas i Gaza søn­dag. Nasjo­nal­for­sam­lin­gen krevde at Moham­med Abbas avset­ter regje­rin­gen, som er full­sten­dig inef­fek­tiv over­for Hamas.

Poli­tiet stop­pet en bil full av Hamas-folk søn­dag, som vif­tet med våpen. Det er inn­gått avtale om at våpen ikke skal vises offent­lig. Politi­fol­kene ville hånd­heve for­bu­det. I ste­det ble en politi­kom­man­dant drept, og Hamas for­søkte å storme en politi­sta­sjon. Flere sivile ble såret.

“We are on the verge of civil war if the situa­tion re2_kommentars out of con­trol,” said Qad­doura Fares, a refor­mist legis­la­tor with Abbas’s 2_kommentarstream Fatah move­ment.

“We want the Pale­sti­nian Aut­hority to take a stand on Hamas. Our blood is flowing for the Aut­hority and they are not doing any­thing,” one pro­tes­ting offi­cer told Reu­ters.

“What is hap­pe­ning is chaos and irre­spon­s­ible,” Abbas said on Pale­sti­nian tele­vi­sion on Mon­day. “People are say­ing this is a test for a Pale­sti­nian state. If we con­ti­nue on this path these people will say we don’t deserve one.” (reuters)
